read. understabd. feel

hellos! heard from miss jeeva that i shall promote!! YAY! woohoo. but i will still feel better when i take the results slip. and so ... THANK GOD FOR ALL HIS GRACE!!!

i am far from perfect. i m tryiing to live life according as how god wants me to :) may not be easy to live the actual prefect life that god wants but i shall try my best!

i realised that alot of time i only want to see things that are in my happy bubble. this means that i will shut out negative things that i see (eg articles on suffering and war) which is a main reason i always find it difficult to pick up the copy of TIME and flip it open when the cover is about some major disaster or some super majorly sad event. in the end i will just leave the magazine there to collect dust and dont read it like ever. but being in debate= the need to be aware of issues surrounding the world= i have no choice but to open my eyes to whatever that is happening in this world no matter how unwilling i am.

this sparked me off when i was asked to reasearch on torture. TORTURE. like me?? of all the topics this had to land in my lap. the very things which i tried so hard to lock out. so i had to resarch particularly on Guantamo Bay and Abu Gharib. i was shocked HORRIFIED at the things i read. dont just me should u really want to know i will WILLINGLY lend you my articles. the things people do, how evil how terrible when i thought it had all come to an end after world war 2 but apparently... not.

to those of you who read TIME/ newspaper/ econmoists/ whatever knowledgable thingys u all read it might seem normal to you. but hey for me? for a girl like me who only reads the LIFE section of the newspaper and the HAPPY issues of TIME. this is major/ humoungoous/ JU DA WU BI news!!! i guess its time to step out of my little (or maybe not so little) happy bubble and face whatever that is gg on around me :) open my eyes big big and see the big and not so big things.

read. understand. feel.

tml debate competition going to sleep now :) wish me all the best.
