These mortal hands of mine
sick. slightly grumpy at the amount of work i have to do but hey, no point being grumpy. grumpy also must do work not grumpy also must do work. oh wells, pick which one you want haahaa not much of a choice huh. so might as well have a joyful heart.
what is your purpose in life? what motivates you to wake up day after day and keep on living? everything else fades away with time some way or another. your achievements will be forgotten and overtaken one day, your friends and family are not eternal as well. dont get me wrong i am not saying that you shouldnt love your friends and family in fact i love them very much!! just that they perhaps should not be what u live for. they should not be the driving force behind your whole life because imagine when they leave u (either willingly or not) what else can u fall back on? there has to be something greater which can be placed in the centre of your life. something that you can place all your hopes in. something that will never fail or leave you. i found my answer for that something and...
i found it in God.
He really never dissapoints and will never forsake you. even when the times get tough he is my source of refuge and strength. i choose to believe in Him. i feel one sentence which Pastor Jeff often tells the new believers who are accepting Christ to be very well, amazing. "nobody can make the decision (to invite Christ into your life) for you and at the same time no one can stop you from making that decision." amazing huh how God shaped this world and his gift of free will. i stand amazed at all his plans for me (:
A psalm of David. (Psalm 23)
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness
for his name's sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death, [a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
